BEFORE YOU BOOK THE TRIP

What should I budget for?

01

Start with your dental goal

Tell reception what you would like to address and whether you already have a proposed treatment plan. Ask how to share existing records securely. An initial conversation helps plan the visit; the clinical assessment determines your treatment.

02

Compare the whole budget

Include the proposed treatment, diagnostics, possible additional care, travel, parking, return visits and any stay. Ask for materials and, if implants are part of your care, the implant system in your written estimate.

03

Plan the dates together

Whether you are coming from nearby, another U.S. state or farther away, choose dates around the appointments you can attend. An assessment, laboratory work and later reviews can require different visits.

A single-tooth implant example

US$1,800

Placement + abutment + zirconia crown.

CT imaging and additional procedures are quoted separately. Your written estimate names the system and total.

Ways to pay & implant systems

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, contactless payments, and cash in U.S. dollars or Mexican pesos.

For the complete single-tooth implant: US$1,000 first payment; US$800 balance, generally in two later payments. Agree your full estimate and payment schedule with the team.

Hiossen and Neodent are currently offered in the US$1,800 package. A different brand can be quoted on request; availability and price are confirmed individually.

DOCUMENTS & CROSSING

Two countries. A plan for both directions.

01

Going into Mexico

For U.S. citizens returning from Mexico by land, a valid U.S. passport card or passport book can be used. A passport card cannot be used for international flights. Check Mexico’s entry requirements separately with INM for your nationality and stay.

02

Crossing on foot or by car

DeConcini and Morley Gate are different crossings in downtown Nogales. Confirm the crossing and meeting point with reception. Before you head home, look up the return line and crossing hours with CBP. Leave room in your day for the border.

03

Plan for the return

Keep time for the appointment, walking or driving and the return queue. Border conditions change. Review the current official travel advisory, including the Sonora and Nogales sections, before deciding your route.

01

1 · Park on the Arizona side

If you choose to park on the U.S. side, find paid parking near the downtown pedestrian crossing, then cross on foot. Ask reception which crossing to use for your appointment and where to meet. Parking is arranged separately; check the lot’s rate and return hours.

02

2 · Coordinate the Mexican side

The team can arrange to meet you after you cross into Mexico and accompany you on foot or by car. Agree the point, time and availability with reception before crossing.

03

3 · Find Plaza Centro

The clinic is at Campillo 110, Local 10, upstairs in Plaza Centro, about two blocks from the crossing. Save the map pin and ask reception for the plaza entrance directions before you cross.

04

4 · Check access before you travel

Access is by stairs only. Tell reception about mobility needs before arranging your appointment or transport.

AT INTER DENTAL WORKS

Know who will care for you.

01

The clinician you will see

If you are not yet sure what care you need, Dr. Judith Mariana, our on-site general dentist, usually sees you first and refers you to the appropriate specialist. If your needs are already known, you see the relevant specialist directly.

02

The people at each stage

Review who provides each procedure, restoration or review in your written plan.

03

Your contact for questions

Reception helps coordinate questions, appointments and arrival in English or Spanish. Ask how to contact your treating team for follow-up.

01

Your written plan

Review the clinician for each stage, proposed treatment, materials, total, extras, payments and return visits together. Consultation alone is US$40 when no procedure is performed, without credit toward later treatment.

02

Prepare for your appointment

Bring your medicines and allergy list and any existing X-rays or scans. Tell reception about mobility needs or worries. Your clinician explains preparation, eating, an escort and driving restrictions for your procedure, especially if sedation is planned.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Let’s find a date for your visit.

Tell reception what care you are considering and the dates that work for you. Reception confirms availability and your appointment before you travel.

YOUR CARE SETS THE SCHEDULE

Plan the appointments your care needs.

01

Assessment and treatment dates

Ask which appointments are needed for your assessment, treatment and review. Confirm dates and the clinician before arranging travel.

02

Laboratory work and return visits

For crowns, bridges or veneers, discuss preparation, laboratory, fitting and follow-up appointments with the team. Your assessment and laboratory schedule determine the dates.

03

Healing and ongoing reviews

Implants may have healing stages between visits. Orthodontic or gum care may need ongoing reviews. Ask how the plan fits the appointments you can attend.

Coming from another U.S. state?

Before booking flights or a stay, agree on your assessment date, the appointments that can be planned and any later visits. Confirm the appointment in Nogales, Sonora local time. Discuss transport and accommodation separately; reception confirms what can be coordinated.

Single-tooth implant · three-visit example

Example: our US$1,800 complete single-tooth implant includes placement, abutment and a zirconia crown. The written estimate identifies your implant system; alternatives can have different prices. CT imaging, grafting, sinus lift, a temporary prosthesis and sedation are quoted separately.

01

Visit 1 · Assessment & possible placement

Dr. Lourdes assesses your needs. Dr. Alejandro Valdés Márquez places the implant if your case and agreed plan allow. For the complete single-tooth implant, the first payment is US$1,000.

02

Visit 2 · Healing review, uncovering & scan

Allow at least three months of healing. Lourdes plans the restoration; the team confirms readiness and who handles uncovering and scanning in your written plan.

03

Visit 3 · Final crown

Dr. Lourdes provides the final restoration, usually 7–10 days after uncovering and scanning. The US$800 balance is generally divided into two later payments; agree the schedule with the clinic.

Day trips or an overnight stay?

Agree the appointment sequence before booking a stay. A three-month healing interval is not a three-month stay in Nogales. Decide whether you can return for separate visits or need accommodation between closely scheduled appointments. Transport and accommodation are separate arrangements, unless specifically included in your written estimate.

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT

The plan continues when you go home.

01

Leave with a clear next step

Ask for your care instructions, review dates, treatment details and any prescription or receipt you need. If implants were placed, ask for the system details to keep with your records.

02

Questions after you return home

Contact reception by phone or WhatsApp. They pass your information to the dentist who treated you and get back to you as soon as possible with instructions. The team may ask you to return for an in-person review if needed.

03

Prescriptions and the border

When your clinician prescribes, the clinic can coordinate filling with partner pharmacies on the Mexican side. Costs and availability vary. Check U.S. rules before carrying medicine across; ask what documentation and quantity are allowed.

For urgent medical needs, use local emergency services rather than waiting for a website message.

COMMON TRAVEL QUESTIONS

Questions before you decide.

Is Nogales safe for this trip?

Our clinic is in Plaza Centro in downtown Nogales, about two blocks from the crossing. Before your trip, reception can coordinate a meeting on the Mexican side and accompaniment on foot or by car. Agree the point, time and availability together. Review the current U.S. travel advisory for Sonora and Nogales before each trip and decide whether the route works for you.

Can I finish everything in one day?

Your treatment and laboratory needs determine the schedule. A single-tooth implant has healing and restoration stages separated by months. Ask for a visit plan before committing to travel.

Can someone meet me after crossing?

Yes, a meeting on the Mexican side can be coordinated with reception. Confirm the crossing, point, time and availability before you travel.

Can you help me plan a visit from another state?

Yes. Tell reception where you are traveling from and the dates you can visit. Plan appointments, any stay and return visits together before booking travel. Reception can coordinate a meeting on the Mexican side; confirm any transport or hotel arrangements separately.

Can I use my U.S. insurance?

Depending on the insurer, payment goes directly to the clinic or you pay and request reimbursement. We provide the treatment information needed for the claim. Confirm your benefits and payment arrangements before budgeting for the trip.

What warranty does the clinic offer?

The clinic offers a two-year warranty for manufacturing defects and functional failures. Crown debonding or loosening and loss of implant fixation are reviewed in the clinic to determine how coverage applies. Raise color preferences during try-in or immediately afterward so the team can review an adjustment. Discuss the terms and any return-visit costs before treatment.
